Hello and Welcome to Heart of Dartmoor Guided Walks. We are based in Princetown, Dartmoor and are here to provide you with a bespoke and personal guide of the best that Dartmoor has to offer.
Our guided walks can be tailored to suit your needs. If you have an area you wish to see or a particular feature that interests you, our guides can take you there. Or let our team show you something new.
We can utilise tracks, trails, open moorland and woodland to suit your abilities and requirements.
Whatever you want – we provide:
“It’s Your Day”
Ian Bishop - Born in Devon, Ian spent much of his youth walking on Dartmoor before joining the Armed Forces. During his service Ian returned to Dartmoor on a regular basis whilst also gaining experience in the more mountainous regions of the UK as well as the South West Coast Path. Ian moved to Princetown with his family in 2014 where he became a member of the parish council. During the last few years he has qualified as a Hill and Moorland Leader (HML) through the Mountain Training Association (MTA).
Steve Sharrock - Also born in Devon, Steve spent many hours walking the hills of Great Britain, whilst serving in the Armed Forces, where he was a qualified Joint Services Mountain Expedition Leader (JSMEL). However, he always had a place in his heart for Dartmoor and spent many a leave period visiting his favourite places on the moors. He returned to Devon in 2014 and now lives at Princetown with his wife and 3 Springer Spaniels.
